Tompolo Denies Issuing Ultimatum Over Nnamdi Kanu’s Detention By Apostle Bodmas Prince Kemepadei, Chairman, Izon Cultural Heritage Centre (ICHC)
The attention of the followers and disciples of High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has been drawn to viral videos and social media reports falsely alleging that he issued a 21-day ultimatum to the Federal Government for the release of IPOB leader, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu.
We categorically refute these misleading and mischievous claims in their entirety. High Chief Tompolo has not issued, endorsed, or authorized any such ultimatum regarding Nnamdi Kanu’s detention. The reports are fabrications designed by mischief-makers attempting to exploit his name, influence, and reputation for selfish or political ends.
🔍 Clarification on Tompolo’s Stand
Tompolo’s long-standing commitment remains rooted in the peace, unity, and development of the Niger Delta region. His advocacy and operations — particularly in protecting national assets through lawful engagement with relevant government institutions — are completely unrelated to the ideological pursuits or activities of Mr. Nnamdi Kanu or his movement.
He continues to work with federal authorities through the Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL) to ensure stability, combat oil theft, and promote socio-economic development in the Niger Delta and beyond.
⚠ Public Advisory
We urge the general public, the media, and all well-meaning Nigerians to disregard these false claims and treat the circulating videos as deliberate attempts to misinform the public and incite unnecessary tension.
✊ Commitment to Peace and Progress
High Chief Government Ekpemupolo (Tompolo) remains dedicated to peace, dialogue, and nation-building. He will not be distracted by propaganda or false narratives pushed by individuals hoping to gain relevance through misinformation.
His leadership and influence will continue to focus on constructive engagement, national unity, and the socio-economic transformation of the Niger Delta region.
