STOP BLACKMAILING AGBEDI - B. DEIN TO F.B OLOROGUN
- PAUL SIMON SHOULD APOLOGIZE TO MRS. AGBEDI.
- THE ALLEGATIONS OF PAUL SIMON ARE BASELESS.
- THE VEHICLE OF PAUL SIMON IS NOW IN GOOD SHAPE.
B. DEIN AND CO. the solicitor to Hon. Fred Agbedi, has described as laughable and a cheap blackmail, the allegation of one Mr. Paul Simon Tombra, who through his solicitor, Barrister F.B Olorogun alleged that, on the 24th of April 2016, he was brutally harassed Mrs. Ebi Agbedi, after her car ran off its course damaging his vehicle, a "BLACK FORD F150 PICK-UP WITH REGISTRATION NO: LSD 585 XD AND CHASSIS NO: 1FTFWIEVOAFCO4833". He said, this was all a lie.
In a statement signed by B. DEIN to F.B Olorogun, he maintained that Mr. Paul Simon raised so many unfound allegations which does not reflect the true position of the situation. He was also advised to write an official letter of apology through his solicitors to Mrs. Ebi Agbedi for character defamation.
According to him, Mrs Ebi Agbedi is a well respected woman, and due to her public office, she does not move in convoy of cars, neither does she has any security details attached to her.

The statement further narrated the actual incident as follows:
• That our client, Mrs. Agbedi does not own or drive in a convoy of cars.
• That on the said date of the accident, 24th April 2016, as stated in your letter being a Sunday, our client ( Mrs. Agbedi) was in church in Yenagoa.
• That what actually happened was that a car belonging to our client’s husband, Hon. Fredrick Agbedi (he was not in the car) was involved in an accident occasioned by a careless pedestrian in which three cars suffered various forms of damage, including your client’s car.
• Being a traffic case, the police was called in and the owners of two of the cars were settled. As regards your client, the case was referred to the area command Opolo because he assaulted a Police officer. However, because our client’s husband left for Abuja, he mandated our client (his wife), a friend who was in the car (Mr. Taimi Owoubiri) and two other family members (Mr. Alex Akata and Tobulayefa Jenakumo) to liaise with your client and the police to amicably settle the matter as there was no loss of life.
• The result of the discussions that were agreed upon by the parties and the police were;
~ That the driver of our client’s husband should bear the cost of the repairs of your client’s damaged car.
~ That the assault case in which your client assaulted the Police officer immediately after the accident injured him be dropped against your client.
The statement then states that Base on the above terms of settlement, Mr. Paul's car was taken to a workshop agreed between parties and he visited the workshop on several occasions to check on the level of work done and he complimented the efforts of the workmen for a job well done.
Also the repair works, including necessary fittings where completed within two weeks except the fuel tank cover which still not available in Nigeria as efforts by all parties including Mr. Simon to purchase it proved abortive. Mr. Simon after the repairs, equally test-drove the car and found it satisfactory.
However, due to the fact that the fuel tank cover was yet to be found, your c suggested and it was agreed between the parties that car be kept at the police station for safe keeping pending when the fuel tank cover would be found either in Nigeria or abroad and purchased for him.
B. DEIN further said to F.B Olorogun, that " it is therefore, a big surprise that your client is being economical with the truth by engaging in this kind of behavioral somersault to cause solicitors to write an unwarranted letter to an innocent third party when he had all along worked in agreement with the team mandated by our client’s husband and the police from the beginning to the end for a peaceful resolution of the matter.
The statement further advise Mr. Paul Tombra and his solicitors to write an official letter of Apology to Mrs. Ebi Agbedi, who knew nothing about the whole incident. Mr. Simon was also warned to thread with caution, not to face a case of character defamation.
