GBARAIN/EKPETIAMA SPDC: GOVERNMENT PROFER'S SOLUTION

BAYELSA STATE GOVERNMENT INAUGURATES THE KUMBO-AMA COMMUNITY TRUST (CT) IN FULFILLMENT OF PROMISE TO FIND LASTING SOLUTIONS TO HARSH EFFECT OF UNDERDEVELOPMENT.

In fulfilling its earlier promise of finding lasting solutions towards cushioning the harsh effect of  underdevelopment across various Cluster Development Boards, the Bayelsa State Government has inaugurated the Kumbo-ama Community Trust (CT).

Mr. Felix Bonny Ayah, Special Adviser to the governor on Oil & Gas, charged the Chairman and members of the Kumbo-ama Community Trust to be more proactive in addressing the quest of underdevelopment across various communities in the area.

Mr. Bonny Ayah, while charging the CT members after their inauguration, said government will continue to partner with committed CT members toward alleviating the plights of the people in the rural areas beyond their personal gains.

The Special Adviser, who enjoined them to be open-minded and transparent in all their dealings, urged them to prudently manage the funds at their disposal in repositioning their communities for better service delivery.

Speaking in the same vein, Engineer Bolouikie Kingdom Yeri, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Mineral Resources, explained that the inauguration of the Kumbo-ama Community Trust was in fulfillment of government sincere commitment towards developing host communities in the state.

He noted that, the Kumbo-ama Community Trust will work in conjunction with the Gbarain Ekpetiama Cluster Development Board, stressing that, SPDC will have no option but to recognize it after the inauguration.

Engineer Christmas James Brass, Head of Petroleum in the Ministry of Mineral Resources, enjoined them to work in line with government sincere commitment towards transforming various communities in the state.

Those inaugurated includes; Comrade Dennis Panebi as Chairman, Comrade Aggrey Olotu- Vice Chairman, Comrade Adia Perekodufa Secretary, Mr. Ogidi Samuel- Assistant Secretary and Mr. Isaiah Trueman- Financial Secretary. Others are; Mrs. Ayouka Michael- Treasurer, Mr. Adia Wosebi- Assistant Financial Secretary, Miss Jonathan Rachael, Miss Egberintou Adia and Mrs. Malue Joy are all to serve as members.
