BEING A SINGLE MOTHER IS NOT A CRIME - JENNIFER SUNSHINE

The issue of having a child out of wedlock and live sometimes without the father is not new story in these days.

Here is what Jennifer Sunshine said in an interview with Bodmasnews.

People say it never ideal for a lady to have a child when she is not married: what do you have to say about that?

Been a single mother is never a crime as far as I am concerned. And I don't even care what people have to say about me and my daughter (Emily). It has happened already, therefore I can not change it - so I'm living with it.

Does single mothers planned to have children without been married officially?

It is a very complex situation. Sometimes, pregnancy arrives unplanned - ie, unexpectedly due to unprotected sex and it sometimes depends on the girl to either  keep or abort the pregnancy. As for me, I never wanted to abort my child even as I wasn't prepared for it. And today, I'm a mother, still single and I love my child.

How do you cope with your day to day activities as a single mother?

Honestly, it's never an easy task to take care of my girl, my education, and work at the same time as a single mother. I want to give credit to my family members for their huge support. But thank God there are part-time works and as well schools. I give God all the glory for strength.

Do you have a man?

Lol.... I think I'll keep that personal. You can guess for yourself.

What advice do you have for the young girls (teenagers) and of course single mothers out there?

My advice for the young girls out there is to be seriously abstained from sex. But if you can not hold yourself, use protection and be calculative.
As a single mother, you shouldn't allow anyone to abuse you and your child. You have to be the best friend of your child especially if it's female. One important thing is to be prayerful and depend solely on God.
