Victims Of Enugu Attack Must Get Justice – Ekweremadu
Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu has said that the senate will never rest until justice is done to victims of the herders’ attack in Nimbo community of Uzo Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State.
Ekweremadu spoke when he led a team of National Assembly members from Enugu State on an assessment and condolence tour of the community.
The Deputy Senate President according to a statement from his media aide, Uche Anichukwu, urged the people of the community to continue to live in peace, assuring that the perpetrators of the attack would be brought to book.
Ekweremadu further called on all Nigerians to respect the sanctity of life as well as the culture and tradition of host communities where ever they find themselves. The traditional ruler of Nimbo, Eze John Ikemefuna Akor, appealed for adequate protection of the community. He said the community faced imminent starvation in the wake of the recent destruction of lives and farms.
