OBAS OF BENIN WERE BORN, NOT APPOINTED - OGBEIDE IFALUYI-ISIBOR

On the Catastrophic display of ignorance as exhibited by the Edo State government on the widely publicized "approval for the appointment" of the Edaiken N'Uselu as the New Oba of Benin, I want to utterly condemn the press release by the Edo State government through his media aide.

As a proud Benin man from the Ezomo family of fearless warriors,I condemn in very strong terms the targeted insult at the Benin Kingdom through the shameful press release.

I think it wasn't only done in sheer ignorance, it was the height of insanity for anyone to have thought that the Rulership of the Great Oba of Benin Kingdom was subject to the approval of any man . If other Obas are appointed, it is not so with the Benin Kingdom.

The Oba is anointed before birth and born to be King. The Edo State government must retract that publication and tender an unreserved apology to the Edo State for the unreasonable display of baloney.

For those who are defending this show of shame, I will live you to keep basking in your own folly.
