Yenagoa: On Thursday, 5th May 2016, Community Media Network of Nigeria [COMENN] paid a courtesy visit to the Sector Commander Federal Road Safety Corps [FRSC] Bayelsa State Command, Mr. Wobin Ayuba Gora in his Office in Yenagoa as part of its corporate social responsibility to the people.
Speaking at the occasion, the National Chairman, Mr. Ebi Ozegbe said, the visit was to appreciate the wonderful works his Command has been doing since he took over the Command few months back in the State. He said, your Command's ability to perform its duties and functions i.e. prompt evacuation of accident vehicles and other materials that caused obstructions on our roads. Accordingly, he said, apart from the fact that vehicles that have damaged as a result of accidents or mechanical faults that constitute hindrance on our highways thereby hampered the free flow of traffic, which your Command promptly addressed to save lives and property speaks volumes of your high sense of responsibility and commitment to the people.
In addition, he said your Command's ability to check drivers' licenses in order to prevent fakes from operating on our roads and also to put a stop to overloading that could cause fatal road accidents is worthy of commendation, hence the courtesy visit to thank you for a job well done and also wish you the best in your new assignment in the State.
In his response, Mr. Gora said, he has never been to this part of Nigeria since his enlistment into the service, except that he had attended a programme in Benin City, where he left for Abuja after the end of the programme the following day. Mr. Gora, who expressed his sincere appreciation to COMENN for finding him worthy for the visit, promise to carry out his funtions satisfactorily without fear or favour and thanked COMENN Leadership for the laudable initiative.
The visit ended with a group photograph of both Officers of the FRSC Bayelsa State Command and COMENN.
